Getting ready....

Well, I'm getting ready to say a temporary good-bye to the Bay Area, and take off to Queenstown, New Zealand for 6 months! Yup, if you're a US citizen and under 30 years old, you can get a working holiday visa online in 10 minutes! Which worked just perfectly for me since I'm almost 30, and I needed to get away for a while--to meditate, be independent, and surround myself with all the beauty that New Zealand is. I've booked a 4 day, 60 km hike on the Milford Track in December (Yikes!), so be on a lookout for pictures from that, assuming I survive. :) Wow! I've never done anything quite like this, for an extended period of time. I'm excited, nervous, and feeling all the emotions one would expect to feel when embarking on a journey like this. But I'm young, got nothing to tie me down, and decided to seize the opportunity! Stay tuned....
